Terms of Service

By downloading or using the Tackbok app, these terms will automatically apply to you. You should make sure you read them carefully before using the app. The Tackbok application is open-source software licensed under the Apache License 2.0, and you are welcome to view, modify, and distribute the source code in accordance with that license. While the code is open-source, we kindly ask that you do not use the Tackbok name, official logos, or brand identity when distributing your own modified or cloned versions of the app, especially on official app stores (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Using your own branding for your forks helps prevent user confusion and respects the work of the independent developer. The original branding and logo designs belong to Mehra Dot Dev.

Service Usage & Limitations

Mehra Dot Dev is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you're paying for.

By default, the Tackbok app stores and processes your journal entries locally on your device. Optional Google Drive backup and opt-in PostHog analytics are described in our Privacy Policy. We do not collect or store your journal entries on our servers. It's your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which could make your phone vulnerable to malware and compromise your phone's security features.

Optional Support Purchases

Tackbok may offer voluntary, one-time support purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The app displays the localized price supplied by your store before opening the store's purchase confirmation. Support purchases unlock no features, provide no digital goods or preferential treatment, and can be purchased more than once.

Apple or Google processes the payment and provides the store receipt or purchase history. RevenueCat helps Tackbok retrieve products and purchase results but does not replace the store as the payment processor. Tackbok does not issue a separate receipt. Refund eligibility and refund processing are controlled by the store where you made the purchase, so refund requests must be submitted to Apple or Google under that store's applicable rules.

Connectivity & Third-Party Charges

Certain functions of the app will require an active internet connection. Mehra Dot Dev cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don't have access to Wi-Fi or cellular data. If you're using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, you should remember that your terms of the agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. You're accepting responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges.

Updates & Termination

We may wish to update the app from time to time. The requirements for operating systems may change, and you'll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Mehra Dot Dev does not promise that it will always update the app so that it becomes relevant to you and/or works with your installed OS version. We may also stop providing the app and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice.

Changes to These Terms and Conditions

We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
